In spring 2022, katharinajej visits places in her neighborhood in Cologne, Germany, that she used to pass by every day but never entered, let alone made contact with the local people. In front of bistros, playgrounds, gambling dens and betting shops, she now approaches people who were previously strangers to her and invites them to go for a walk together to finally get to know each other.
Afterwards, katharinajej wrote about the resulting encounters.
The text tells of venturing into other milieus, approaching strangers, getting to know each other, close moments, but also of the prejudices and racisms revealed in the process.
