My street`s my Advent calender. Today`s date is the 1st of
December 2015. I ring the doorbell at 1 Teichstraße in

Ariane, dyed blonde tied back, tanned, phone in her hand but pressed against her chest, opens her door. “Aw, how lovely is that!” She is happy to be the surprise behind the window of my Advent calendar. “Wait a moment.” She disappears into the apartment. As she returns, she hands me a chocolate Santa. We laugh.
I can’t open the windows until the 24th because the 18th is the day I travel to see my family.
